Butterfly Cameo Silver Pendant Necklace

There are always discussions over what actually constitutes a cameo. There are those folk who believe only the picture of a woman will qualify and there are those that say any item in a raised form on a background no matter the subject is a cameo. Please forgive us if you are one of the latter people. This butterfly cameo is our latest silver pendant necklace. Being Butterfly jewellery it will be popular and being Fashionable, it will be soon snapped up by a Fashion Jewellery enthusiast. This exquisite piece could be described as wire wrap jewelry but we prefer to think of it as wire sculpture.

The soft blue/grey butterfly cameo was handmade from resin - its 3-D texture is wonderful - you can almost think the butterfly is real! The cameo is enhanced by sterling silver wire, again hand crafted to match the cameo.

The pendant measures about 45x37cm in size. It comes with a display chain (sorry, not sterling silver) and is packaged in a beautiful black leatherette gift box.

Grunerite Pendant Necklace

Presenting Grunerite a wonderful bronze coloured gemstone mined in Western Australia. Our pendant necklace piece is reasonably large and hand wrapped in sterling silver.

The stone of 40 carats and wire setting measure about 53x39mm and being a pendant is designed to slip over a chain or necklace easily. The pendant does come with a display chain (not sterling silver).

The stone which is 39 carats in weight is beautiful, it shimmers and changes colour as you move. The photograph does not do its natural beauty justice.

Rhodochrosite Silver Pendant Necklace

Rhodochrosite is such a pretty pink stone with soft ripples of colour passing through. Handmade silver jewellery like the piece shown to the left is stunning. Because it is handmade and the stone is natural there can never be another like it. Silver  wire wrapped jewelry is very popular with those who have been exposed to it and provide a unique and unusal approach to fashion costume jewellery.

Emerald and Sterling Silver Pendant

This is another wow! piece. The Brazilian emerald (yes, honestly it is an emerald that has not been polished and facetted the way we are used to) is a marvellous reminder of the colours that nature provides. Its shape has been enhanced by a hand crafted (no power tools used, just a pair of hands and a pair of flat nosed pliers) steling silver setting, this form of setting is known as wire sculpture or wire wrapping. Check out the details on the back - you can see the stone is securely held in place by the sterling silver square wire.

Metaphysically it is held that Emeralds assist with maintaining strong and beautiful love, promoting marital bliss and harmony in the home. For those in the corporate world it is also held that emeralds assist with concentration and focus. In the middle ages, Green was held to be the colour of true love (as opposed to envy which it seems to be today!).

The pendant may be worn as such by threading a chain through the bail (as shown in the picture) but may also have a necklace enhancer that allows you to wear the pendant on your favourite pearl or bead necklace. Simply thread the enhancer through the bail and slip over the beads (adjust the width slightly if required).

Our lovely new pendant we decided to call Colours of Australia as the hand made dichroic glass has quite distinct green and gold halves.

Ian has chosen to wrap this cabochon in sterling silver wire to create a pendant that measures about 42x29mm in size. As with all of our signature range of pendants, it comes in a black gift box with a display chain.

The price - just $45 - that is Australian Dollars so you folk in other parts of the world get a bargain as our exchange rate is not so good at the moment.
